After taking a little break from photography for a short while, this year has been much more productive. I had to do a Halloween shoot this year as they always tend to be my favourite shoots to do. I don't actually like to dress up myself, but photographing someone else dressed up for a stylised shoot and I am all in.
This year I have been doing a photo series idea which was neutral, light, dark / earth, heaven, hell. I knew that the dark/hell part had to be done a couple of weeks before Halloween as I always do. As it happens this year the 13th October fell on a Friday. Surely Friday the 13th in October is the creepiest day other than Halloween itself.
The theme this year was a demonic ritual type theme which seemed fitting for the day. I want the pictures to be a bit gritty and look like they have marks on them like the pictures had been affected by all the dark energy. I normally don't do a full set of colour and the full set in black and white, but I couldn't decide which images looked better in either so i did a full set of each. Take a browse at the images.
